schmuck's lola passed away last friday. it's a sad time for all of us right now, especially for schmuck's family. although she has been in the icu for about two weeks, we always hoped that she'd pull through. but at 3am last friday, she breathed her last. i guess God was in need of another angel.
at the wake the other night, schmuck told me that it's a shame that lola didn't make it until our wedding, and i couldn't agree more. i remember when schmuck and i have been going out for maybe just a year, it was lola puring who would look for me at parties and reunions. she always made me feel like i was already a part of the family.
although lola is no longer with us, we know that she still lives on...as an angel...and she is with God now. during the mass earlier this evening, the priest said that death was not the end, but rather, death is life. makes perfect sense.
